We're Land Rover enthusiasts. How about you?
We have members all over California; each from very different backgrounds and geographical regions, but we all come
together to enjoy the spirit of adventure and the pleasure of owning "The Best 4 x 4 x Far".
We've been on a few trips.
Our club board puts effort each year into promoting a series of events that are members-only, NCLR-coordinated trips/expeditions. Here's what we have in store for 2016:
- Shaver Lake Snow Run
Shaver Lake Snow Run
Pack the extra-warm winter bag and thermals, because this trip happens mid-February!
The goal each year is to reach the Bald Mountain Peak but conditions vary from snowbanks to dry conditions.
- Death Valley
The club takes to the desert again after a reprieve last year -- experience other-worldly views and miles of challenging trails
all while taking in the majestic beauty of Death Valley.
- Pismo Dunes
If mud and rocks aren't really your thing, come and play in the sand dunes of Pismo (Oceano Dunes SVRA). Bring
the family and build sand castles on the beach, fly a kite, or take a quick ride up Garcia Ridge if you're looking
for a change of scenery. This popular weekend trip is one of the longest running in the club and shouldn't be missed!
- Sierra Expedition / White Rock Lake
Sierra Expedition / White Rock Lake
Set up camp in the Tahoe National Forest and make the off road trek back to White Rock Lake for another
chance at seeing the Perseid Meteor Showers in high resolution. Stock vehicles OK.
- Lost Coast Weekend
Lost Coast Weekend
The convoy of Discoveries and Range Rovers (even a Series or two!) will always find a surprise when visiting
the coastal forests of Northern California. See Roosevelt Elk up close and go sand driving at the beach!
- NCLR 10th Anniversary
NCLR 10th Anniversary
More to come -- as our 10th anniversary, NCLR has something big in the works. We'll be updating this once more
information is sent out.
What else does membership include?
As if the trips and camaraderie of it all weren't enough, here are the other key benefits an NCLR membership includes:
With a paid membership, you are granted access to the members-only forums and your title will be upgraded to NCLR Club Member from NCLR Guest.
Every member is granted a vote toward board and officer elections. Elections occur each year in the May timeframe.
No member would be complete without their NCLR shirt & two stickers -- the shirts change throughout the years, so don't miss a single one!
We're an Associate member of California 4 Wheel Association.
A membership to NCLR is an investment in the off roading community. We proudly support the efforts of CA4WDC who lobby to keep our
recreation areas open and accessible for many years to come. When you become a member of NCLR you automatically receive a membership
to CA4WDC and will also receive 'In Gear' magazine, CA4WDCs seasonally-released publication.
Is there anything else?
NCLR membership is by calendar year -- depending on what part of the year you join, you may receive a prorate. If you are a lapsed member,
you are still considered a past member and must pay your membership for the year in full to be brought current.
So where do I sign up?
We make it pretty easy. Simply create
your account and select a paid membership at the time of registration. If you already have an account and want to upgrade,
purchase your membership on the NCLR store.
