We just got back. It was really awesome talking with Paul and Helen about their adventures.

It was good meeting Paul and Helen today. Picked up my two boys (still in there school uniform) after school, and rushed to Walnut Creek Land Rover Deakership; glad to catch his last presentation for the day.

Enjoyed Paul's travel presentation from Mongolia to Siberia...: http://www.landysadv...om/about/route/

Like the details from field repairs, hazards on the road, cultural experience, many others... He is also great presenting to kids - my two boys sat still/listened to Paul.

Also met Mark and his family, one of the guest; hope to see Mark join NCLR club trips.

Here are a few 360 degree photos of Paul and Helen's 110.

I think we should invite Paul and Helen to Mexxis for an in-person persentation of their travels to club members; what do you all think?

I believe they are leaving for So Cal today.

By the way, in speaking with them, they are using this trip to support a number of charities that they are passionate about. They did some math this past weekend and and only 3% of their total costs covered by sponsors currently. They just recently decided to start stopping by Land Rover dealerships to try to get some extra money to support their cause. When they arrived in the states from Syberia, US customs & USDA charges to have their truck "cleaned" and cleared ate up practically 1 month and $3500 that they had not budgeted for. Their next major concern is the cost of shipping from South America to Africa.

I know times are tough, but personally I'd be willing to pony up a small donation. Would others in the club be willing to do the same? Could NCLR be a sponsor?

Great idea

I just found out as Kevin pointed out, Paul and Helen are heading to S. Ca; understand they are planning to stop in Texas, and then in Mexico in April... making their way to the rest of S. America... to Africa. Safe travels for both and we hope to keep in touch with them.

If we get more advance notice of any global travelers passing thru, will certainly ask if they can stop-by and meet/greet NCLR members!

We can certain discuss this during MOM.

Just too bad they are heading down south already; would have been great to see them @ our MOM or even a week's notice @ Mexxis.
