Hi Club Members,

On behalf of our new Director of Affairs Michael Beaver while he is on vacation, I'm asking club members for help w/our upcoming raffle. Michael will be back early August and will continue the follow-up.

In the meantime, figured time to get started. Our annual event is just around the corner and we need every club members' help to provide leads or ideas to companies who maybe interested in donating gift certs or merchandise for our raffle. In return, we can help promote their business or merchandise during the raffle. NCLR is a 501©(7) non-profit and donations maybe tax-deductible.

Last year we raised over $1000 dollars in raffle sales; proceed went to operate our fine organization NCLR club- thanks to our generous sponsors and donations (gift cert or merchandise) from companies like Tepui, Rovers North, Atlantic British.... and so on.

We want to raise $1000 again this year. Funds raised last year helped pay for a fantastic venue this year w/Bill Burke as our guest during the annual gathering; Bill will be providing recovery and/or driving skills training on Saturday (more to come on this from Brenton). If we hit $1000 again this year, we could invite Bill again next year or other prominent guest in our Land Rover or 4x4 community.

Bill by the way was a participant and selected to represent the USA during the 1991 Camel Trophy event in Tanzania. A Living legend to CT enthusiast. Looking forward to a great raffle and great event with Bill Burke: http://www.bb4wa.com...ameltrophy.html

Post up leads, ideas or if you work for a company and can get donation(s) to our raffle.

Cheers!

Ron

Ron, I have already spoken with Ramsey at Land Rover Experience Quail Lodge and they have indicated a willingness to donate to the raffle.

I will also reach out to Paul and LRRC again this year. In addition, I will contact Eli of Camel 4x4 and see if he would be willing to make a donation to the raffle.

Bill Burke has offered us a gift certificate as well. I'm not sure of the amount yet, but will post that info when I get it. He said he'll also ask some of his sponsors if there's anything they'll want to donate as well. Info will be posted as it's received.

Mark Letorney, owner of Rovers North (RN), just got back to me and he will be sending us goodies for our raffle. Rovers North is a family owned business for the last 30 years and Mark and his family are big supports of our club and other Land Rover clubs.

I get hard to find parts for my Defender 110 and RRC from RN; really enjoy the fast shipping and great customer service!

Ron,Mike,
Contact Chris Dickerson of Sierra4x4trailers.com. I left him your names. His business is a good lead for donation, vendor, or group/club buy on trailer and other accessories.
If you do it quick enough, maybe I get a discount on a trailer?;)

We may not have a lot to raffle this year; hopefully even few as long as quality goodies. The good news is that this should be ok if our raffle is fast/quick since we want to focus on our special guest Bill Burke.

So far I am only able to get Rovers North to donate (still waiting for the shipment); and Land Rover Experience Driving School also agreed.

Anyone or any other donations Mike (Our Pres) and the other Michael (Director of Affairs)?

Ron & Beaver,

I ordered some heims (for the track rod) from a company called Filthy Motorsports. I was impressed with their personal order updates, and the quick & FREE shipping. They included a bunch of large and small bumpers stickers, a magnet and beer cozy. I sent them a thank you email and asked if they'd like to send any other promo stuff for the raffle. Ben, the sales person at FM, said they'd gladly send a promo pack which includes a hoodie, shirt, kazooie, and decals. I'll let you know when it arrives in the mail and will post a pic of the package.

That's great Brenton.

Hey Josh, let's wait for Michael Beaver, Director of Affairs, to chime and explain the raffle tickets and cost this year. Thanks!

Ron,

I reached out to LR Rocklin and LR Sacramento. Both were interested but had a large Concourse event in the area on the same weekend. They are looking into what they might be able to do and will get back to me. I also contacted a good friend at British 4x4 of Reno but they are busy as well. Hopefully this helps.

Has anyone contacted the guys at what used to be Specialized Parts Planet?

Can you contact me via PM on this?
