Great Pictures Ron!! Keep them coming. I love the one of them all on the ferry. I was just wondering about the dinner and the MORG. With this shindig does anyone plan on going to the MORG? Maybe both?

You are welcome; I only wish I was on the ferry helping out (smile). Anything for an adventure.

Re: MORG and this dinner fundraiser; I think that's a great combo, 4x4 @ the MORG and end the eve w/a great dinner for a good cause. Or just the dinner if you can't attend the MORG.

Relief Mission continues... Land Rover Club of the Philippines in Tacloban.

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone! Tickets are still avail @ $65 per seat. Our own Redrover (Erin and Jared) have purchased their tickets; I am asking Enrique to hold tickets for me and my friends. Reach out to Enrique and get your tickets today before they are sold out. Let's do this - going to be a fun and worth while event. We can also discuss 2014 trips among others during dinner e.g. Baja Mexico, Oregon, Death Valley... And updates on the Land Rover Club Philippines relief mission.

Hi Folks,

So far only Erin and her husband (RedRover), myself & my wife + two of our friends have purchased tickets for this event. That's only six tickets. We are shooting for the max room occupancy of 40, but need min 20 otherwise to make it happen otherwise will need to cancel this fundraising event.

Many showed interest and we appreciate that, but we need commitments/ticket purchase so Enrique can get a heat count, plan and purchase the ingredients for the meal by Wednesday this week. Should be a fun, and tasty event for a good cause.

Email or reach out to Enrique for ticket purchase, questions or comments at (925) 381-4545 or email at enrique@mexxis.com; send your ticket payment to Enrique: engo63@yahoo.com (make it as gift to avoid the transaction fee).

In case the event is canceled, will refund all ticket sales. Thanks!

I think confirming a time might help - I have people interested, but have been asking me about a time frame. My husband won't be able to attend due to a business trip out of town but a friend is coming in his place.

That's great; if 2-3 of you and your circle of friends then that makes a total of 8-9 so far (w/me, Roz and 2 friends) + Erin and her friend. Might be small but intimate w/good people and food.

Excellent Enrique. Will post the final head count today and look forward to great meal for good cause. Since not everyone drinks beer and wine, I am bringing bottles of Pellegrino sparkling water, and sparking apple cider for the event.

Originally we were going to use the larger space next to Mexxis for this event; however, since we didn't get the max 40 seats and don't need the larger space, we decided to hold the dinner fundraiser @ Mexxis more appropriate for the excepted smaller attendees. Will just reserve a section of Mexxis for our dinner guest/attendees. Don't let that stop you from attending; seats are still avail, same high-end food, drinks, and intensity/passion to help victims for typhoon Haiyan victims remains.

Reminder $65 per seat includes food, beer/wine or sparkling water/apple cider. Post here or call (925) 381-4545 to reserve your ticket(s). Send payments via Paypal to engo63@yahoo.com (make sure to check "gift" so Paypal doesn't charge a fee, and type Rovers Relief in the memo field).

Menu: Spanish Paella Mixta with lots of seafood, poultry, spicy spanish chorizo and pork. Tapas will be roasted pimentos on a toasted peasant bread with a doll-up of aioli and prawns sauteed in olive oil with garlic a mild morita peppers finish with a dash of Jerez.

Also want to share add'l photos and news link/update: here you can see "Tacloban City’s welcome sign survived the Super Typhoon Haiyan and continues to stand proud by the road leading to the city center. The sturdy display reflects the people’s resilience against the disaster".

AirAsia resident photographer Adam Lee traveled to Tacloban City to document relief efforts and survey the scale of the task ahead. How can you help the survivors rebuild their lives? Find out here: http://www.airasia.c...urs-in-tacloban

Ron, Enrique,
