I secured a musician to perform acoustic guitar for the evening's entertainment :) Should be a fun gathering!

Ron, Enrique,

We can't attend the event due to our Company Holiday Party, but I threw a few nickels at the Paypal account.

Regards,

Graeme

Thank you Graeme!

Thanks to Enrique (and Carlos) and to Ron for the effort that went into the event. It really was a nice evening and the food was absolutely incredible. Enrique, all of it was amazing. Still eating the paella leftovers.

Really looking forward to hearing more and being a part of the growth of Rover Relief. I sure hope to be able to make the Baja trip.

Thanks again, guys! And appreciate you putting up with my date. "She" was nicely oiled, but I didn't even get as much as a peck on the cheek when I dropped "her" off.

Looking for next Rover

Thanks to everyone for a wonderful time and it was great to meet some of the members! Looking forward to our next adventure!

Enrique - the food was amazing! And, I'm sorry I forgot to take leftovers... I got caught up in talking with everyone. :-(

Thanks Mark, Erin, Colin and the others for attending. Also to Graeme who couldn't attend dinner but donated. Mark, will have to find you another date (lol)

The event was a success; small group - intimate, fun, food was amazing as Erin pointed out, and had a great time for a good cause.

Again, we want to thank our guests who donated and attended dinner tonight, and for Robby Consunji, the President of the Land Rover Club of the Philippines (LRCP), for allowing us to raise funds from across the globe for their relief mission; thanks again Robby and LRCP for the tireless efforts to help those in need, and to express our empathy for the victims of typhoon Haiyan. Check out the article on Top Gear Philippines, spin-off of the BBC Top Gear, re: LRCP; more pictures of their mission, club members in action and people they helped out: http://www.topgear.c...p-on-the-planet

Also our own Chef Enrique and his crew for a wonderful and amazing dinner; to Erin for donating the bottles of wine - tasty and complimented the amazing dinner; Rich our guitarist who provided entertainment during dinner, my wife Roselyn for the case of Pacifico beer (that was her Christmas present to me - smile) & non-alcoholic drinks, and the other guests: Mark, Steve, Colin, Holly, Sue & guest, Erin's friend (attending on behalf of Erin's husband who was working tonight), and my two boys who also donated parts of their allowance.

We didn't have a fancy restaurant to hold this event and not even fancy decorations, but people came together and made this event happen and a success in our eyes. Taking from William Shakespeare's quote - How far that little candle throws his beams! So shines a good deed in a weary world. We will be sending the net proceeds to LCRP this week.

Thanks again; we will be keeping everyone posted on the next Rovers Relief Fundraiser!

Small dinner turn-out but nonetheless a success and happy to report that we raised $800 from the Rovers Relief dinner last Saturday. $0 went into administration (totally voluntary for me and Enrique), $0 cost to the place where we held the dinner, $0 on the entertainment, $0 on wine and beer (all donated), and only cost was $250 in food ingredients/materials. $550 will be wired to LRCP. We want to thank Robby and his club for their efforts and relief mission. Will keep everyone posted on our next Rovers Relief event!
