I think Adam Spiker did the GDE in 2003 just before the Solihull National Rally in Colorado. That one was to show the LR3s.

GDE group usually(?) does post trips to either Moab or Telluride. Much cheaper. Also Solihull Society alternates yrly between Moab and Telluride for their National. Tougher road selections and much lower costs too.

Nathan, do you know if the shop that did the graphics or paint theme was in your town also?

Hi Ron,

I will ask around today.

Thanks Nathan. Yes, let me know if you find out which shop did the paint, and curious cost to replicate it on another RRC. Thanks again.

Ron, I can put you in contact with a friend in the AZLRO Club. His name is Doug and he recently did this very thing. We saw each other at the OE in May and he mentioned the upcoming GDE trip, and chatted a briefly about his RRC.

Daphne Greene sent me an email today after getting back from the 25th Anniversary run. She was with both "waves" of the expedition and said it was fantastic!

Awesome.

Tell her didn't happen w/o photos (smile).

Great to hear from her again; any chance she'd stop by our annual again like last time. I know too much to ask - worth a try. Thanks Brenton!

She's in Moab the weeknd before and during our Annual. She's really wanted to make an apperance again, but it's not in the cards this year. Maybe for 2015.

I'm still pissed off that Gov. Moonbeam eliminated her position in the state. She was a great advocate for offroaders.

Is this thread still alive? What time table are we talking about and its duration?

Idea is still alive.

Not dates/times yet or firm plans but targeting early summer 2016. But if Alaska is on the horizon 2016. We can push Great Divide to 2017 or vice versa.

BTW Oregon Back Country Discovery Trail is next summer 2015

I think that whenever our 10 year anniversary (I think 2007) we should do the Great Divide. That would keep Alaska as the big trip for 2016.
