So a while back I mentioned to some guys that my younger brother had opened a shop in Fremont. It's called Vinyl Inc.

He does everything from banners to full on body wraps for vehicles of all sizes. Catering trucks and hi end sport cars. Even Land Rovers.

So I figured I would support his company and get a massive club logo on my hood and smaller ones on my doors.

So I stopped by his shop Saturday and got started.

http://vinyl-ink.com/

I wanted to do a satin blackout on my hood with the logo as big as the blackout. Normally he would print it on the blackout but we didn't plan this to long and just winged it.

Thanks to Chris with his skills. Here is my brother laying down some lines, after me prepping the surface with some serious cleaning. That was a workout.

So after getting all the wrinkles and bubbles out, he goes to the line he put down and cuts the seam with the tricks of the trade.

After peeling back the unneeded sections we get a clean shape.

Going off the decals on my doors, he gives me some ideas and goes to his thinking mode.

Now comes the printing part.... sweet!!!

http://i1286.photobu...zpsqtu1xmvm.jpg

After printing there is a laminate that protects the inc from weather and all the elements. Like a clear coat on your paint.

http://i1286.photobu...zpslvb2bsbj.jpg
http://i1286.photobu...zpsgcoutntw.jpg

There is a third part to this. I need some letters cut out for .... well your watching this .......

http://i1286.photobu...zpshi1ns29h.jpg
http://i1286.photobu...zpsnmrrtmf8.jpg
http://i1286.photobu...zpshk3ah3xy.jpg
http://i1286.photobu...zpsmaj4oiip.jpg

The next step is to remove the cut letters.

http://i1286.photobu...zpsvtdckhuy.jpg

Then to prep for instal, he uses the transfer tape to transfer the sticker on my hood.

http://i1286.photobu...zpsoein3or8.jpg
http://i1286.photobu...zpstsgy3zdc.jpg
http://i1286.photobu...zpsh27i4jgm.jpg
http://i1286.photobu...zpskcpmn282.jpg

So after knocking that out I asked him for new letters on the hood where it used to say "Land Rover". For those who know me.... well stock isn't cool enough. I'm unique so my truck should be as well.

http://i1286.photobu...zpszjvbqlg3.jpg
http://i1286.photobu...zpsg5y9ri8p.jpg

The door logos look small and kinda crappy now.... Those are next. Stay tuned. Oh and these are for sale with install for $350-$400. Prices vary based on curves and objects that cause issues with the install. Prices include install.

That's great work.

Let him know I want to do the Great Divide trip car body stickers in 2016; hmmm..... maybe something sooner will need stickers for the Oregon Discovery Trail trip next year summer.

You (fabrication work) and your brother are both talented.

Thanks Ron. I just need high resolution files in Photoshop formats. So he doesn't have to spend time correcting and redesigning them. That costs more if it's his time laying things out.

Getting the files in Photoshop and laying out the graphics is something I can help any member with.

Well, you could always vinyl wrap it in white, apply a hood blackout, then apply the logo!

Whatever tickles your pickle. Yes he can. He can even do the graphics that are on that race car on yours. Just as long as he has the files of the images you want.

Wow, lots of talent in your family! Hey, we'll need some more "Dusy" stickers... not quite the same as last year ;-) Brenton, I'll tell you what we're thinking of changing... :-)

That truck was posted here a while back. For how long it's been up and the work needed you could get it pretty cheap I bet. Looks nice on the outside.

Or for one less zero you could have this. It's the wrong color, but it doesn't look bad at all for the asking price.

One of you should buy this to remove the temptation. Because if I buy it Michele will hit me with a big stick.

I am really happy with the p38 right now. No plans of getting read of it any time soon. I like the way is turning out and there is really nothing wrong with it. :-)

I will let Pedram grab the RRC, i know he is been wanting to get one. That is a great looking RRC and great price.

Wow, Pedram... That looks awesome!

You know, I was JUST thinking that I would consider doing a black-out part of my hood (but no logo). I saw a white FJ with the hood area blacked out and it looked sharp and pretty functional I think in the desert.

My hood has a perfect shape/location for a black spot like that..... maybe I should have him do it. What does he charge to do just a black out part of the hood (like you had before the logo)?

Don't bother, you should just get an AEV hood. You know, for your new Jeep.
