Spoiler alert. Well it's all over. I watched, too bad the rover driver was such a tool. I hope it doesn't reflect poorly on the rest of us. And what a bummer for the brothers. Timing belt on the last day, after all that mud and rock it goes out on a dirt highway. Oh well. I hope there is another off road race type show spawned because of this one. I would like to see a cross between top gear, Alaska offroad warriors and what the expedition overland guys did. Show me more about the vehicles and how they are prepped. Where does your food and fuel come from and blah blah blah.

He's shaming your name... I feel you on that. Total jerk. He almost ran the mullet over. Those war wagon guys are good peeps. They helped everyone despite the looks. Super jeep was an okay truck but I'm glad most made it home.

Pretty much everybody in the off-road community wishes the show was more about the trucks/driving/travel and less about the drama, but unfortunately it seems you need the drama to pull in the mass market needed to keep your ratings high and sell ads for Clorox or Cialis or whatever.

Personally I'd prefer the show wasn't a race since that just encourages the worst parts of the drama. Make it more like Expedition Overland but bring in several different rigs and show us prep, route planning, etc (pretty much what's been said already). As I've said before, I'm a big fan of real reality TV - it's called a Documentary. Today's 'reality' TV is anything but.

But we need two children crying about who hit who. It's important that we get these details.

I really don't understand why Jason in Rover 2 was in a rush and thought he was the best. Nothing he did was honorable.

Some people are natural born jerks. Put a camera on them and it only gets worse.

I don't know - maybe he's a fine guy in real life. But he certainly came off as an a$$hole on the show. And from what I read from him on Pirate, I think it was an accurate representation.

The race part I liked. It keep the show moving and made it less of a, "take a look at my vacation photos" type show. The camel trophy was a race of sorts and I really like watching those. But you're right. The race aspect does add to the reality tv drama junk tv that brings in the drooling masses. Perhaps better selection of participants. I'm sure there would be many willing to participate.

Maybe we can try to act the part as an off road gang and thrash civilian life. We can wear leather jackets.
