Still trying to get used to the new site ....

Found out today that using the "View New Content" at the top right doesn't get me all of the new content.  When I then click on the "Forums" tab I find there is a list on the right hand side entitled "Recent Topics" which aren't in the new content view.  So, I know this is user error (the big nut behind the keyboard again) but what am I doing wrongly?

I still highly recommend using the "View New Content" on the top right.

Once you click that, you will see a few side menus

On the left hand side you will see "By Time Period" within that section you can view any new content (Posts, threads, calender events) that have been posted since you've last logged in (Set as default).

I recommend clicking the "Content I Have not read "  instead.

This should be what your looking for I believe.

As for the "Recent Topics" on the forum index, those are only Newly posted threads. Not recent posts, actual threads.

Yes, I set mine to 'Content I have not read' as well.
