Hi all;

After Oregon, all of the doors on RedRover make a horrible popping/squeaking sound when opening or closing.

What is the appropriate way of cleaning and re-lubricating the moving hinges and 'stuff' that is making the noise?  Also, I assume WD-40 is not the recommended product to use so any recommendations there would be good too.

Thanks

Kano Kroil for breaking stuck fasteners loose. Works better than WD-40 or PB-Blaster. Kano Penephite is nice for keeping things lubed. It's Kroil with Graphite. Good for hinges and the like.. Wurth Rost Off Extra is also something else I keep on hand.

I use wurth hhs-k ... Great stuff. I put it on my sliding patio door 6 months ago - didn't gum up and still sides like butter on Teflon !

ATF mixed with isopropyl alcohol and white spirit (turpentine substitute, aka paint thinner) for breaking things loose and washing out the dusk and dirt, then any light oil spray with teflon for long-term squeak reduction.  I normall get the MSDS for the products I like, then make my own at 1/10 of the cost.  Sea Foam is an easy one to make yourself too ....

Atf is great. Reminds me of making my gun cleaning stuff minus the copper fouling ingredient
