Looking for more power in my steering. Seems ok when truck is cold but awful when warm. Perhaps my pump is weak but is there anything better out there that can be retrofitted without a ton of engineering? My wife can even park it as it is.

Have Dan adjust the screw on the side of your steering box it helps with bigger tires.

No upgraded pumps available.

Screw? Which screw? Is it just a matter of turning it in? Do you need to measure anything while adjusting?

Some people have used the Saginaw canned ham power steering pumps on RRC's before. You have to fab a bracket but other than that.. There's a cad drawing floating around out there somewhere that I've seen before for the mount for the Saginaw box on a rover motor. Here's a thread on pirate about it : http://www.pirate4x4...ering-pump.html

*edit* found the discoweb thread with the link to the cad files for the bracket: https://discoweb.org...ead.php?t=84893

so i see the fancy bracket drawings that were put up there by robertf.  is anyone else interested in this? i don't know if this would fit my RRC or not yet.  i like the idea of going to a standard pump.
