Starting my custom bumper build for my classic. Faceted design with dual swing away for the spare tire and box/ accesories. No modification to the quarter panel, just cladding the side and bottom to take on those bottom end drops. Hardware for the swing away and tabs by comp 4x4. Model and scale mock up of the final product. Will post pics of progress. Feed back before production is welcome!!

Sweet deal. Let me know if you need some help. I've built one or two in my life.... Lol. Nice start. I'm not the CAD type myself. Did take classes in my Union apprenticeship.

You don't usually see plate bumpers on the older trucks.  More common to see tube.  I look forward to seeing the finished project.

I've read somewhere in a couple of posts that you have built several. Do you own a shop?

Cool,

I can't find one for mine, going for something similar tire/jerry swing aways, if you decide to build another one, let's talk!

Looks Great Jasper. Always nice to see a project thought through and done right. Good luck with the build and I too look forward to following along and seeing the finished product.

Cheers

Here's Don's bumper I built from scratch. It took a while since it is a total one off and not bolted on.https://youtu.be/H-51uByqBJM

Design looks great. From my experience the mounts for a stock bumper will be inadequate to support a well built frequently used heavy duty bumper. Be sure you include some redesign for those to your new setup as well.

Lol .....my view on that comment was bolt on bumpers suck. Not to be rude. Just my thoughts. But very good design. Don't let me discourage you.

Maybe Nills or someone who did signal peak with us last year has a picture of Graeme's rear bumper after we used it as an anchor point but before it was "fixed".

Edit. Oh boy that was an embarrassing autocorrect
