As you all know, I just recently moved to Mountain View. Today, I went outside and there was one of my neighbors admiring my 110. Turns out he has a 2-1/2 ton ("Deuce and a Half") truck that he takes off road and wants to head out together some time.

Now I know it isn't a Land Rover, but it drips oil like one and still takes about as much effort to keep it running. Still have to respect the truck and it's always nice to have another person two doors down to wrench with.

Nice - not just a Duce and a half, but a bobbed Duce.  Much cooler as a 2-axle instead of a 3 I always thought.  Does it still have the multi-fuel engine?

I've never seen a 2-axle Deuce. That's awesome! Have him bring it out to a MORG some time.

And those aren't exactly the stock wheels/tires either.

I've had a soft spot for a bobbed Deuce for 'a long time, much like the Mogs.  They're completely useless but totally cool.  I have to admit though, I'd prefer a 12v instead of the old multi-fuel screamer.

Totally agree... and the distinct sound of the turbo spooling up... Yea, would be a great coffee-getter on Santa Cruz Ave, Menlo Park  ;-)

Apparently the later models - M35A3 - had CATs.  I didn't know...
