I've searched around the site a bit for instructions on how to do it, but how do I add photos? I was trying to add a photo to use in my signature block, but could only use a photo that I had previously added as an attachment in My Media. Also, I can't figure out how to add a photo to put inline in my post. I can only add it as a thumbnail at the bottom of my post.

It's not intuitive. From the desktop you can add photo and then if it's from the web you can insert the url for the picture. You have to right click the image and cope image address. 99.9% of the time I use the tapatalk app and there is a camera button or landscape button you click to either take a pic or insert a pic from the camera roll. I'm not sure how to insert an inline pic from your library on the non-tapatalk forum access (web browser based).
So don't feel bad, you're not the only one!

To put photos in-line you have to use an img. tag.  Basically the image has to be hosted elsewhere on the web then you create a link to it within your post.

I use Photobucket to host my pictures for this.  I upload the pics there, then when I open them there's a group of links on the right side of the screen to 'share' the pic, one of which is 'IMG'.  Click on the IMG link and then copy/paste that here and you get something like this:

Chris, you are correct. It isn't intuitive at all.

Don, thanks for providing those instructions. I had no idea it was a two part process!

Don, I'm not sure you *have* to post externally -- that's just what most people do.

You can attach the images to the post... you may not see the options in the fast reply window, but if you click 'More Reply Options' or are in the main posting page, you can do it. Here are the steps:

1. Start a post
2. At the bottom, click Choose file
3. Select the file to add and click OK
4. Click 'Attach this File'.
5. Once the file is attached, it will show up as an asset in the reply window. Click 'Add to Post'. An attachment link will be placed in line. You can copy/paste the link to the location you want the photo to show up. I'm adding mine below here:

Attached File  image.jpeg   155.46KB   9 downloads

6. Click Post!

It may not be intuitive or the best, but I've seen poorer interfaces too.

Yeah, but then they're upside down.  Or is that just a Mac thing?

(ducks...)

I think that issue lies with the original taker of the picture...
