Is there a factory bar(s) avail? I saw a pair that was advertised to be a fit my LR3 on ebay; starts $160/pair (pic 1)

Here's a picture (#2) of the roof rails on my LR3 (driver side).  Passenger side is identical.

Is there an aftermarket option? e.g. Thule, Yakima that will plug and play with these rails?

I am planning to mount ski racks during the winter, and a Yakima roof box during the summer (to store camping gears & light stuff for long trips) or Kayak carrier occasionally.

No RTT on this LR3 since it's my daily driver.

Thanks in advance for your help.  And if you have roof bars for sale that will clamp unto to these rails w/o further mods - let's talk; PM the details and price.  :)

Ron

I think you have two options.

1. get the oem rails and then you can mount a Yakima accessories to those.

The rails would be easy to adjust forward and back for the different activities, I.E. skiing closer, kayaking farther apart.

2. go to REI and see what it would cost and how it would work if you bought Yakima or Thule rails instead of the OEM. They may be more expensive.
