And no, not Global Thermonuclear War

(you children of the '80s will get the reference)

It's been slow on the forum lately so how about a picture game.  It works like this-

A person posts a challenge consisting of your Rover and xxx where xxx might be anything such as:

Your Rover and a fire hydrant

Your Rover and another 4WD

Your Rover with no pavement or buildings in site

Your Rover with a government building

Your Rover from beneath

Your Rover and a flowering tree

Your Rover and a city of more than xxx/less than xxx

Your Rover and a named body of water

...

You get the idea.

The first person to post a photo answering the challenge then submits a challenge of their own.  If there's no answer after a reasonable amount of time, (say 4 days?) the original poster can submit another challenge.

Creativity is encouraged, but don't make the challenge so hard nobody will be able to meet it.  For example, Your Rover at 10,000+ feet elevation is cool, but not many are going to have the chance to just pop up to 10,000'.

If there is dispute, the poster of the challenge makes the call as to if something meets his requirements.

Here's an example-

Challenge:

Your Rover with at least 2 other Rovers-

And I'll answer with this:

20150307_175058_zpsxzulhn3m.jpg

Having successfully answered, I then post the next challenge.  I'll start that in the next post.

So to start the game, I give you this:

Your Rover and a billboard

(I'll start you off easy)

Now go to it!

It's not technically a billboard, but it is higher than 10,000 feet elevation.

OK, not exactly a billboard but close enough.  Now you need to name a challenge to keep it rolling.

I call "Photoshop".  There is no way a Rover can be that clean at any altitude ....

If I were to drive my Rover to work it would be really easy.  I could however stage a photo using one of the variety of boats around the house.  Or I could be a smart-a$$ and set a model boat on the hood.   ;)

If nobody grabs this one by the time I get home tomorrow I'll snag it.  Lots of possibilities with a couple minutes work.   :)  Luckily I'm working in Stockton tomorrow so I'll actually come home at night.

OK then, I didn't take the easy way and just shoot one of my own boats.  But I didn't exactly take the hard way since I just drove up to the levee about a block away.  They're barely boats in my opinion (houseboats) but they're boats.

IMG_20170509_174113290_zps64tuvpyg.jpg

So with that, time for a new challenge.

Your Rover under a street light.

(still keeping this easy for you guys so get in the game!)

Works for me.  I was actually hoping for a nice night shot but since I didn't specify that it's good enough.

Time to name your challenge!

How about some "parking rules applied"... should be easy enough and maybe a requirement of a generation gap...

Maybe that generation gap is showing because I have no idea what you're talking about.

Standard format is 'your Rover and xxx' or 'your Rover with xxx' etc.

Two rovers parked along side each other but not of the same model series. So a D1 and LR3 is possible in your driveway...
