As I stated in another thread. It's been over a month since I have taken the LR out for a drive. This past weekend I filled it up with $87 worth of 91 octaine and took a drive up to tahoe and try out my new camera and enjoy the scenery. I caught the sunrise from emerald bay and after that I headed to the staging area for the Rubicon. Wasnt anything too exciting going on there. Only saw one truck and trailer in the parking lot. Normally it's packed full and becomes a giant tailgate party, so most likely there is still too much snow at the upper elevations. So hopefully soon i'll get some action shots of the LR getting dirty soon after I figure out how to work my camera :)

Very nice! Looks like you've got it dialed in, at least for backlit sunsets. :D Have fun with it. I'd like to get a new camera because I feel like I'm missing out on all the new technology. I just don't need more complexity to deal with at this point.

This article will def steer you away from wanting a new camera. The biggest thing about taking good pictures is simply reading the manual and learning how to use your camera :) Honestly I didnt have to buy a Nikon, but I had to spend my stimus check and help the economy so that was my justification for spending more then I needed to after I smashed up my old one :)
